Speak to the clinic
Try to gain a deeper understanding of what the clinics are offering. Email them with any questions or pick up the phone…all these things can give you extra reassurance, confidence and familiarity of what to expect. Finding out who will be performing the scans and the qualifications that they hold is a good start. Make sure that the scan you book is the correct one for you; consider what stage of pregnancy or fertility that you are in.
Conduct a little research
Have a look around at the local clinics, establish which scan you require and see what they offer…not all clinics offer the same services. Have a look at the clinics’ websites and at their social media presence, reviews, blogs and ratings to see how they are doing as a service? Doing a little research will allow you to get so much more from the experience.
Location, access, parking
Have a look at the location. Is there easy to access to the clinic or will you be held up in traffic for most of the day? Is there onsite carparking and are facilities all under one roof? If you’re having more than a scan, for example, sampling or blood testing - is this all done ‘in clinic’, under the same roof or does part of the service take place somewhere else? Having one person offering all-round / full-package care is hugely beneficial to your peace of mind and the quality of service.
